Band Introduction Concert Preview

New Blue Death are a rock n roll band from elsewhere living in Seoul. Comprised of musicians from current and former Seoul bands, Used Cassettes, Table People and On Sparrow Hills. Although New Blue Death are a new band they’ve arrived with a clear confidence and a wealth of material rooted in their years of experience in Seoul’s young but thriving underground music scene. Their sound is dark and joyous simultaneously. The band’s influences are broad. At times you can hear flecks of early American indie rock, jittery guitars that swell into psychedelic squalls of noise, mixed with melodic pianos, organs, and layered vocals. Their first self-titled debut record was released via Loose Union Records in April 2013, and their second album will be released early in 2015.
