Magna Fall is a four-piece Korean/Irish/American rock band based in Seoul, South Korea. Formed in 2010 by original members David Holden (drums) and Kevin Heintz (guitar, vocals), they were later joined by Do Joongmo (guitar) and Lee Yeonsu (bass) in July 2013. Magna Fall have released one EP (“Japan” 2012) and one 3-track single album ('No Mirror' 2013). A new 6-track EP ('Space Kitchen') is to be released in 2014. Magna Fall's sound might be described as an eclectic blend of progressive rock, punk, grunge, and post rock, with electronic music occasionally coloring their sound. The resulting product is dubbed "Space Rock" by the band itself-- disembodied, spacey tones with tight chord structures pierced by sharp melodies and riffs. Among the wide variety of influences, the soul of their sound could be attributed to yesteryear prog, rhythm and grunge acts like Nirvana, Rush, Soundgarden, Talking Heads, and Foo Fighters, with a bent towards more recent avant-garde and indie acts such as the Arctic Monkeys, Radiohead, White Stripes, and Queens of the Stone Age. In the growing Korean Indie Scene (K-Indie) Magna Fall have progressed by making several TV and radio appearances (Top Band 2, MBC Nanjang, TBS Radio etc.) and being included in a host of festivals and collaborations across the Korean peninsula, including the top Korean festivals - Pentaport Rock Festival - in 2013; Greenplugged Festival- in 2014. They have also performed at international festivals in Japan (Japan Music Week) and Taiwan (Spring Scream Festival).
